GENERAL TERMS:
-Alba's Yacht is not responsible for any personal and/or valuable items left in the boat.
-Price is subject to change.
-Customer will be notified if the price change exceeds $500.00 in order to proceed.
-Price changes less than 500.00 will be added automatically to the order, without customer approval.
-Marina Charges are not included on price, unless specified.
-Accessories are not included on price.
PAYMENT:
- Special Orders require full payment in advance and are not refundable.
-To reserve your spot a fee of $2,000.00 is required which it is not refundable if the job is cancelled.
- A Customer deposit of 50% is required up front to proceed and 100% for scaffolding and tent.
-Owner understands that progress payments will be required on any work exceeding $5,000. Owner will be billed weekly for these progress payments and work will stop unless payment is received promptly.
LEAD TIME:
-Please be aware that Alba's Yacht is following CDC guidelines for COVID-19 to protect the health of all our workers and customers that may delay completion date.
-Lead time is based on normal weather condition. In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, Alba's Yacht Services should follow Marina Emergency and Safety Plan where the job is being performed, which it may extend lead time and incur into additional charges like take down scaffolding and tent, in which Alba's Yacht Services is not responsible.
-Lead time starts the next business day after tent and scaffolds set up is completed if apply.
PAINTING LABOR WARRANTY:
In addition to any material warranty that may apply to the paint and other product used on your job, for a period of 24 months from the date of completion of our work, this painting limited workmanship warranty shall apply if the paint applied by Alba's Yacht Services Corp, hereinafter referred to as “Contractor”, erodes or peels to expose the substrate, Contractor will furnish labor to correct the condition, free of charge. To obtain service under this limited warranty, the owner must give written notice to contractor identifying the original work performed, the date of job completion, and the nature of the problem. Such written notice shall be given to the contractor at: 1884 nw north River Drive, Miami, Fl 33125 or email at paint@albasyachtservices.com
This limited warranty does not cover Paints that have not been properly maintained on a monthly basis. Proper cleaning and maintenance include but is not limited to cleaning slime and pollutants from the hull. Proper cleaning can be accomplished by doing the following:
Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers for cleaning. Use only an incredibly soft, natural bristle brush or mop. Never use plastic or stiff brushes that will scratch the paint. If you must use an abrasive such as on nonskid, remember that chlorinated cleansers will damage the paint if allowed to remain in contact for more than a few minutes. Be sure to rise thoroughly, especially the point where the water runs down the hull side.
Keep the boat clean. Accumulated dirt and atmospheric fallout can result in acids forming on the surface of the paint and damaging it.
Wash down thoroughly to remove all salt after using, including the hull sides.
Wax the boat at least once per year, except for walking surfaces, or course.
Avoid ice damage; cover the boat during winter lay-up.
NOTICE TO OWNER: This limited warranty covers workmanship only and excludes all materials used. The paint and other materials selected are NOT covered by this limited warranty. Please refer to the manufacturer for details about any warranties that may apply to the materials used on your job. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof.
THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE to succeeding property owners for the remaining term at the time the property changes ownership and under the same conditions.
